Letter: Society shouldn’t accept immorality
Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998 | 2:44 a.m.
We have all done wrong. Most of us take responsibility, are regretful and change. Our leader could learn from these people. A lifetime of immorality is not just a dumb mistake. It is calculated and manipulated.
His defense has always been to attack and demean his accusers. This shows lack of remorse and responsibility. And the behavior is not likely to change. Honesty and integrity cannot be separated from the person.
Our compassion has become misguided, to blame everyone and everything except the perpetrator. And as we sit back and watch and accept and excuse, immorality slowly creeps into our society.
