Opal Mary Collins, 93, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born July 10, 1905, in Gentry, Ark. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Fern Anderson of Kincheloe, Mich.; two sisters, Jewell Spurgin and Garnet Wolfenbarger, both of Oklahoma City; and seven grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Laura R. Crum

Laura R. Crum, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 16, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. A resident for 12 years, she was a cashier in the gaming industry.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny; three daughters, Nancy Centers and Wendy Crum, both of Las Vegas, and Tina Workman of Pahrump; her mother, JoeAnn Lidma of Las Vegas; five sisters, Margie Love of Ogden, Utah, Sandy Mueller of Walnut, Calif., Cathy Dunagan and Joyce Beighey, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and Susie Vacell of Elgin, S.C.; three brothers, Charlie Mills of San Fernando Valley, Calif., Robby Beighey of Culver City, Calif., and John Beighey of Bakersfield; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Dorothy Hess

Dorothy Hess, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born April 26, 1918, in Bliss, Idaho. A resident for six years, she was an elementary school teacher for 18 years, a homemaker, a hospital volunteer, a member of the Eagles for 50 years, a member of BLE Lady Engineers and the Beauceants and a 1936 graduate of Albion Normal College.

She is survived by one son, Lamont; and one brother, John Waddington of Paradise, Calif.

Roselee Ann Humphreys

Roselee Ann Humphreys, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Blackjack, Mo. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; two daughters, Debra Pagels and Catherine Humphreys, both of Las Vegas; four brothers, Melvin Schoenberger, Rudy Schoenberger and Bill Schoenberger, all of California, and Harold Schoenberger of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Gertrude Roe and Estelle Amelang, both of California; and five grandchildren.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Joan Hunt

Joan Hunt, 64, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born June 21, 1934, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 29 years, she was a slot supervisor.

She is survived by one daughter, Joanne Farano of Henderson; one son, Daniel Farano of Las Vegas; her mother, Louise Castle of the Bronx; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

William John Lyons

Sept. 14, 1927, in New York. A resident for seven years, he was a security guard and a member of the Carpenters Union.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; four sons, William J., Robert S., Thomas A. and Jon J.; one daughter, Kristie D.; three brothers, Walter, Phillip and Jack; two sisters, Dorothy and Joan; and four grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no services. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ellen R. Martz

Ellen R. Martz, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born April 17, 1918, in Chicago. A resident for one year, she was a devoted mother and homemaker and highly active in Wisconsin charitable organizations.

She is survived by two sons, Alan Martz and Douglas Martz, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Alvin Legerat of Cherry Valley, Calif., and Frank Legerat of Fairbanks, Alaska.

Leona E. McTaggart

Leona E. McTaggart, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Preston, Iowa. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired school cafeteria cook.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Webster of Las Vegas and Cheri Semanate of Seattle; two sons, Roger Moore of Las Vegas and Charles McTaggart of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Marvin Masteller of Orange, Calif.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jasper Russell Morgan

Jasper Russell Morgan, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. He was born July 9, 1918, in Navou, Ala. A resident for seven years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and World War II and Korean War veteran and a member of the Shriners El Jebel Temple in Denver.

He is survived by three daughters, Judy Scarano of Denver, Norma Clark of San Diego and Sharon Bellamy of Phoenix; one sister, Claire Tiler of Morrison, Colo.; wonderful friends at Vegas Towers; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Brandy Phillips

Brandy Phillips, 24, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 12, 1974, in North Dakota. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Glen; her father, Darrel Barbion of Pahrump; her mother and stepfather, Patricia Lynn and Tom Mlechick, and one brother, Shane Barbion, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Vickie Centoni of Texas; and four nieces.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 7 p.m. Friday in Sun City Community Church.

Francis Evan Price

Francis Evan Price, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 22, 1926, in St. George, Utah. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired truck driver and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Sheri Hancock of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Allanna Harrison of Salt Lake City; two sons, John Price of Cedar City, Utah, and Michael Price of Las Vegas; three brothers, James Price of Castle Dale, Utah, Dick Price of Cedar City and Kenneth Price of El Paso, Texas; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour before 11 a.m. services Monday in the Lola and White LDS chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Joan E. Seamans

Joan E. Seamans, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 25, 1928, in Pennsylvania. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, William E. Seamans III of Henderson; seven daughters, Vivian E. Andrews, Susan A. Schenauer, Joan E. Seamans of Karen L. Sands, Doreen L. Robinson, Sharon L. Pezzino and Kathleen A. Seamans; one brother, Edwin Whitney Jr.; one sister, Patricia Decker; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jack Sokoloff

Jack Sokoloff, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 4, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for six years, he was a retired motel security officer, Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by one daughter, Momilani Balutski of Kaaawa, Hawaii; one son, Alan Jack Sokoloff of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren.

Leota Louise 'Lee' Walton

Leota Louise "Lee" Walton, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Leo D.; one son, Frank Walton of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 8 a.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Bow Inn Young

Bow Inn Young, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 3, 1939, in Canton, China. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; two sons,, Michael Young of Foster City, Calif., and Marvin Young of Concord, Calif.; one daughter, Ivy Vo, and her mother, Wai Yung Siu, both of Antioch, Calif.; one brother, Wilson Siu of El Monte, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Juanita Zimmerman

Juanita Zimmerman, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 23, 1912, in Alexandria, La. A resident for 46 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Branam and Linda Dawson, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Ray Zimmerman of Las Vegas and Leonard Zimmerman of Augusta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
