Retail shop clerks at the Excalibur hotel-casino voted Tuesday for representation by Teamsters Local 995 by an 82-39 vote. The vote will boost Local 995's presence at the hotel-casino to about 400 members, union officials said.
Wednesday, workers at the Greyhound bus terminal voted against union representation by a 20-2 vote.
Teamsters Local 995 has two more elections scheduled.
About 30 laundry room employees at the Desert Inn hotel-casino are scheduled to vote on union representation Oct. 30 and a vote for roughly 25 wardrobe workers at Circus Circus hotel-casino is set for early November.
