Crown also said Consolidated Press, chaired by Australia's richest man, Kerry Packer, will inform Crown by Thursday whether it wants to go ahead with its plan.
Last month Consolidated Press Holdings said it planned to invest in Crown in return for half the casino's cash flow after expenses and a say in its management.
Shares in Crown fell half a cent to 35 cents yesterday.
