Its Idaho subsidiary is called Silver State Financial. Specializing in Small Business Administration loans to local businesses, the office is expected to negotiate up to $5 million in loans annually.
The bank also plans to expand to Reno and Salt Lake City.
Separately, Silver State announced the completion of a $5 million stock rights offering.
The rights were offered at $17 per share and were fully subscribed by existing shareholders, directors and employees.
The bank plans to use the funds to expand its branch network and to meet loan demand.
