Kacy Kimball was in critical condition Monday afternoon at University Medical Center.
Officer Steve Meriwether said police were called to the home shortly after 5 a.m.
Ms. Kimball had been in an area of the house with the chemicals when the explosion occurred.
"We don't know if she was mixing or if they had a chemical reaction or she decided to light a cigarette," Meriwether said.
Another man who lived in the home, Thomas Tinnon, 24, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
Meriwether said Ms. Kimball would also be charged with the same counts.
Police were still searching for a third man who also lived in the home.
Meriwether said police had served two previous search warrants on the house, one in April and another in August.
"It's a sad thing. We had been actively trying to get rid of this problem."
