Elden Clarence Beale, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1913, in Spokane, Wash. A resident for seven years, he was a retired wheat farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; one daughter, Mimi Atherley of Las Vegas; three brothers, David Wigg, Arthur Wigg and Donald Wigg, and four sisters, Jill Kennedy, Janie Seaby, Gladys Redman and Joan McCluskey, all of British Columbia; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 8901 Del Webb Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Bernice H. Bowie
Bernice H. Bowie, 85, of Boulder City died Saturday in Boulder City. She was born Feb. 19, 1913, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Monique M. Zavalza of Boulder City and Jo Ann Garroutte of Edmond, Okla.; one son, Joseph Donald Chase of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Donna Jean Moore of Orange, Calif., and Patti Ann Long of California; one sister, Cleo Tague of Omaha; one brother, John Donald Miller of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled 5:30-6 p.m. in St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Andrew's. Entombment will be in Palm Mausoleum, Boulder City.
Allison Leslie Burbank
Allison Leslie Burbank, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 21, 1917, in Los Angeles. A resident for 11 years, he was an Episcopal minister and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey; and two sons, James Burbank and Michael Burbank, both of Las Vegas.
Services will be 9 a.m. Friday Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Lorraine R. Duarte
Lorraine R. Duarte, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 12, 1927, in Honolulu. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Henry R.; three sons, Henry Duarte, Howard Duarte and Michael Duarte; two daughters, Gwen Hensley of Las Vegas and Penny Geter; one brother, Lorenzo Ramos; and two sisters, Marcella Jose and Josaphine Jose; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the family residence. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
William Patrick English
William Patrick English, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 1, 1943, in Cottonwood, Idaho. A resident for 30 years, he was a Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority employee for 15 years and a member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
John Ellsworth Glodfelter Sr.
John Ellsworth Glodfelter Sr., 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 14, 1929, in Mifflinville, Pa. A resident for 26 years, he was an advertising salesman for Sports Display Inc. in Santa Margarita, Calif., managed Briar Heights Lodge in Berwick, Pa., and Malibu Pier in Malibu, Calif., and was a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen; three sons, John Jr., James and Jeffrey, and two daughters, Jacqueline and Janice, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Victor Parrish Gruendell
Victor Parrish Gruendell, 49, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 9, 1949, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 11 years, he was a carpenter.
He is survived by three daughters, Kendel Gruendell, Elizabeth Gruendell and Melissa Gruendell, and one son, Brent Gruendell, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Albert and Ann Gruendell, and one sister, Valarie Buckalew, all of Salt Lake City; and three brothers, Douglas Gruendell of Renton, Wash., and Eric Gruendell and Kurt Gruendell, both of Salt Lake City.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at 413 Brighton Road. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Ann Hall
Ann Hall, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 19, 1910, in Fall River, Mass. A resident for 24 years, she was a retired Air Force major who flew with Medvac during the Korean War.
She is survived by her husband, Roy A.
Burial will be private. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Jesse Hankins
Jesse Hankins, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 21, 1942, in Louisiana. A resident for 40 years, he was a laborer.
He is survived by five brothers, Danny Hankins and Jonny Hankins, both of Oregon, Roy Hankins of Las Vegas and Billy Ray Hankins and Don Hankins, both of Louisiana; and one sister, Joyce Hankins of Louisiana.
Visitation is scheduled 11:30-12:30 p.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Jimmy L. Horecka
Jimmy L. Horecka, 42, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1955, in Texas. A resident for 26 years, he was a disabled Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his mother, Amie Horecka of Las Vegas; his father, Danile Horecka, and one sister, Diana Fraser, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and three brothers, John Horecka of Concord, Calif., and Patrick Horecka and Robert Horecka, both of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 45 minutes prior to 11:45 a.m. services Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Mary J. Kearney
Mary J. Kearney, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born April 19, 1947, in San Diego. A resident for 20 years, she was an interior designer.
She is survived by her husband, John; three daughters, Kimberly Bentley of Los Angeles, Carie Scarpine of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and Michelle Kaplan of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Patricia H. Lisiewski
Patricia H. Lisiewski, 49, of North Las Vegas died Oct. 7. She was born Nov. 12, 1948, in Flint, Mich. A resident for 25 years, she was an investigator for the Nevada State Child Support Division for 25 years, a 1971 University of Nevada, Reno graduate, a 1967 Bishop Manogue High School graduate, a competitive ballroom dancer and costume designer, involved with Toastmasters and Weight Watchers and active in the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her mother, Helen Handy of Reno; two brothers, Michael Handy of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Timothy Handy of Reno; and six nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Addine L. McElroy
Addine L. McElroy, 53, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 30, 1945, in Indianapolis. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Raleigh C.; two daughters, Cheries Dupee of Des Moines, Iowa, and Tosha McElroy of Henderson; two sons, Raleigh McElroy Jr. of Des Moines and Albert McElroy of Indianapolis; two sisters, Janice Latimore of Indianapolis and Minnie Lee of St. Louis; three brothers, Clifford Hudson and Ernest Barnes, both of Indianapolis, and Albert Hudson Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.

Ruth Miller Scholtz
Ruth Miller Scholtz, 79, of Orem, Utah, died Saturday in Orem. She was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Pasadena, Calif. A former resident of Las Vegas for 35 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris Bryan of Las Vegas; one son, William Miller, and two sisters, Lily Black and Jessie Ford, all of California; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be noon Friday in Memory Gardens.
Marta Weber
Marta Weber, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 1, 1937, in Poland. A resident for many years, she was a chef.
She is survived by one daughter, Renee Ferguson of California.

Stephanie Wright
Stephanie Wright, 32, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born July 25, 1966, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she worked in the classifieds department of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
She is survived by her fiance, Randy Fairley, one son, Deondre A. Fairley, four daughters, Kyicia Katina Wright, Myicia Katrina Wright, Michelle E. Smith and Randi A. Fairley, and her mother and stepfather, Betty Shaw-Myles and Willie Myles, all of Las Vegas; her father and stepmother, Alonzo and Brenda Wright of North Las Vegas; one brother, Alonzo Wright III of Las Vegas; three sisters, Eloise Diana Wright and April Wright, both of Las Vegas, and Shannon Denise Wright of Pittsburgh; two stepbrothers, Harry Wright and Lamar Wright, and two stepsisters, Stacey Wright and Renita Wright, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 7-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
