Letter: Reader vows to remain Democrat
Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998 | 2:48 a.m.
Speaking of money and where the Democrats get donations for their campaigns: When the Republicans run for office in the year 2000 I would like to know where every dollar is coming from.
Clinton is a very, very intelligent man who has done a magnificent job since he became our president. Then he made a dumb mistake. He has asked for forgiveness and regrets his dumbness. What do the Republicans want, blood? How long are these ghouls going to stick their knives in?
I hope Starr is adding to his bank account with his book on the market. I hope Lewinsky's knees hold out with a lifetime of genuflecting. I'm glad she is not my kid. And will Linda Tripp ever find a friend?
And in closing, because I see the Republicans as mudslinging, desperate and despicable, I will remain a Democrat all my life.
