Public will get chance to meet court candidates

The Clark County Bar Association is giving residents a chance to meet and hear from judicial candidates in the November election.
The forum will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the County Commissioner's Chambers at the Government Center, 550 Grand Central Parkway.
Candidates for the civil, criminal and family divisions of the Eighth Judicial District Court will be attending, as well as candidates for the Justice Court.
Each candidate will be given a chance to address the audience followed by a questions from the audience.

The North Las Vegas Democratic Club is hosting a candidates night for all Democratic candidates at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at the North Las Vegas Lion's Club, 2939 Van De Meer St.
Meet the Candidates
Soroptimist International of greater Las Vegas is holding an informal meet the candidates day at Lorenzi Park on Oct. 24.
The event will be in picnic area A from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to the public.
Candidates can participate for $60 a space, with all proceeds benefiting Soroptimist charities such as food drives, community shelters and tree planting.
