The Las Vegas City Council approved Monday the finance agreement for the city's share of building the $117.5 million Regional Justice Center at the previously agreed to amount of $29 million.
That's what the city will repay for Clark County bonds that will be issued for construction of the structure at Lewis Avenue and Casino Center Boulevard.
The county's share for building the center that will house the city's municipal courts and the county's justice and district courts is $88.5 million.
Another $2 million projected for land acquisitions associated with the project will be paid for by the county, city officials said.
City approves funding for new Metro communications center
The Las Vegas City Council unanimously passed Monday a resolution supporting the city's participation in the construction of a new police emergency communications center.
The current facility, at 4850 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is on land that has been approved for a recently approved 27-hole golf course near McCarran International Airport.
The city and county, which co-fund Metro Police, will build a new facility on 7.5 acres of county-donated land at Russell Road and Decatur Boulevard.
The cost of the new facility has yet to be determined.
