Letter: Other parties worsened scandal

Kenneth Starr has been termed an obsessive zealot and is inclined to select facts and statements out of context. Many newscasters and journalists have provided slanted reports, and some have attained the level of used car salesman. However, facts and data exist in this morass.
Congressman are not interested in national polls, simply the registered voters in their district. Seventy percent would vote to impeach. At this time, there is a 23 percent chance of a democratic election plurality.
A Senate trial would close some credibility gaps contained in the Starr report. During the proceeding, many government functions will stagnate. Censure and reprimand negotiations have failed, and Congress would have to vote on them, anyway.
There are no simple solutions to complex problems. As a result, Clinton and Starr have caused a bad state of affairs for nobody.
