David Carlyle Alexander, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Illinois. A resident for 34 years, he was a labor foreman, a Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; four daughters, Erin, Maura, Jenifer and Teresa; one brother, Jeff Hardrath; and one sister, Debbie Thomas.
Services will be 10 a.m. Oct. 15 in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Allen H. Buell
Allen H. Buell, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born May 1, 1916, in Iowa. A resident for 34 years, he was an auto mechanic, a World War II and Korean War veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine; and two sons, John and James Buell.

Lloyd John Coppes
Lloyd John Coppes, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Yarmouth, Iowa. A resident for 25 years, he was an Air Force veteran, a member of the Shriners and Patriots 650.
He is survived by two sons, Leonard Coppes of Denver and Robert Coppes of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to 4 p.m. services today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Myra Corinne Cox
Myra Corinne Cox, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 18, 1914, in Lott, Texas. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Earlene Stuart of Las Vegas; two sons, Ronald Ranck and Martin Ranck; and seven grandchildren.

Julia M. DeLong
Julia M. DeLong, 93, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born June 21, 1905, in Baltimore. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired federal government clerical worker.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean Munyan of Las Vegas; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Wanda Ruth Finne
Wanda Ruth Finne, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Henderson. She was born July 2, 1927, in Michigan. A resident for 30 years, she was a city government clerk.
She is survived by one son, David Finne, and two daughters, Colleen Finne and Eileen Finne, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Wiley Brownlee and Douglas Brownlee, and three sisters, Sara Briggs, Naomi Case and Mary Roszel, all of Michigan; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Celia Gilbert, 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1906, in Chicago. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one sister, Ruth Robinson of Las Vegas; one brother, Seymour Robinson of Florida; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
John Edward Glenn
John Edward Glenn, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Alabama. A resident for five years, he was a federal government investigator and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Mark Glenn of Cleveland and Gerry Glenn and Kevin Glenn, both of Phoenix; two daughters, Karen Glenn of Cleveland and F. Jewett of Ohio.

Betty Smithey Harbin, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 8, 1934, in Alabama. A resident for 28 years, she was a casino cashier.
She is survived by her husband, James W.; two sons, Richard Harbin of Las Vegas and Melvin Harbin of California; one daughter, Sheri Reinold of Las Vegas; one brother, Norman Smithey of Tennessee; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Flossie Faye Harrigan
Flossie Faye Harrigan, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. She was born March 3, 1905, in Deep Water, Mo. A resident for 56 years, she was a retired waitress who worked several years at the Golden Nugget.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in California.
Lucile Blake Jones
Lucile Blake Jones, 97, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 24, 1901, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for three years, she was a retired radio station manager.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Hoff of Las Vegas and Barbara Cox of Westminster, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Eldon Miller Langston
Eldon Miller Langston, 83, of Pahrump died Friday in a local care center. He was born March 30, 1915, in Smith Center, Kan. A resident of Las Vegas for 36 years, he was a retired truck driver of 45 years and a member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vyola; one son, Richard Clark Langston of Pahrump; two daughters, Kathleen McCann of California and Paula Chiles of Las Vegas; two sisters, Maxine Herder of California and Reifa Kanauss of Colorado; two brothers, Vincent Langston of Wyoming and Lowell Langston of California; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

George F. McAllister
George F. McAllister, 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 1944, in New York. A resident for six years, he was a furniture warehouse employee and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by three sons, George McAllister and John McAllister, both of Kansas, and Jerry McAllister of Nice, Calif.; one daughter, Wendy McCallister of Nice; his father, George McAllister of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jerry McAllister and Rick McAllister, both of Norwalk, Calif.; one sister, Sandy McAllister of Banning, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.

Myrtle Genevieve Oliver
Myrtle Genevieve Oliver, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 5, 1916, in Grand Forks, N.D. A resident for 52 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Howard L. Oliver of Newbury Park, Calif.; one daughter, Sharon Perea of Las Vegas; one brother; one sister; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Frank Gary Pelnar Jr., 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Las Vegas. A resident for 20 years, he was a mechanic.
He is survived by two brothers, Dean Kudera of Las Vegas and Dale Kudera of Nebraska.

Peter "Tony Rome" Rappa, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 26, 1920, in Newark, N.J. A resident for three years, he was a retired entertainer, World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Screen Actors Guild, American Guild of Variety Artists and American Federation of Television of Recording Artists.
He is survived by one daughter, Donna Quevada of California; four sons, Vince Rappa of Kenilworth, N.J., and Jerry Rappa, Peter Rappa and Rick Rappa, all of California; two brothers, Leonard Rappa of Barstow, Calif., and Frank Rappa of Toms River, N.J.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Jeanne B. Shipton, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1932, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 32 years, she was a cook for a child care center.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Shipton of Italy and Robert Shipton of Las Vegas; three daughters, Linda Coome and Cheryl Hilton, both of Las Vegas, and Karen Pate of Tonopah; her mother, Margaret Gordan, and one sister, Sally Klugh, both of Pennsylvania; and 13 grandchildren.

Wallace Shultz II, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 14, 1948, in Iowa. A resident for 35 years, he was a casino floorman and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki; his parents, Wallace and Dorothy Shultz, one son, Derek Shultz, one daughter, Christie, and two brothers, Jeff and Steve Shultz, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Stan Smith
Stan Smith, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A retired printing company owner-operator and member of Typographical Local 933, he was born Dec. 23, 1923, in New York City.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; five sons, Ronald Smith, Lawrence Smith, Kevin Smith, Randal Smith and Bradley Smith, and one daughter, Patricia Lowder, all of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will continue until 5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Marion J. Soklich, 94, of Carson City died Saturday. She was born Oct. 22, 1903, in Shannon, Mich. A former Las Vegas resident for 33 years, she was a retired secretary at a pharmacy, president of Sunrise Auxiliary from 1969-70 and member of Southgate Chapter Eastern Star.

Jerry R. Truax Sr., 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Seattle. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired civil service supply technician, a Korean War Air Force veteran, a member of Nicolaus Lodge 129 in Wheatland, Calif., Scottish Rite Bodies of Las Vegas, Zelzah Shrine Temple and Legion of Honor.
He is survived by his wife, Mae B.; one son, Jerry Ryon Truax, and one daughter, Mavis Livreri, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Peterson of San Diego; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. A private burial will follow.

Lester W. Vorhies, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 21, 1916, in Iowa. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired elevator mechanic, a World War II Navy veteran and a former member of the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; two sons, Donald W. Vorhies of Lakewood, Calif., and Gary Vorhies of Corona, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara Weinberger of Long Beach, Calif., and Patricia Waters of Las Vegas; three brothers, Clarence Vorhies, Huldi Vorhies and George Vorhies, all of Iowa; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Anthony J. Weilenmann, 36, of North Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 23, 1962, in Rehobothe, N.M. A resident for 22 years, he was a graphic artist.
He is survived by his mother, Chiyo Weilenmann of North Las Vegas; and his twin brother, Kenneth D. Weilenmann of Las Vegas.

C.K. "Kenny" Wise, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1921, in Ottumwa, Iowa. A resident for eight years, he was a retired court administrator, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by two daughters, Connie Seaburg of Cherry Valley, Calif., and Starr Richardson of Las Vegas; one son, Larry Wise of Lacey, Wash.; two sisters, Grace Egbert and Darlene Wise, both of Ottumwa; two brothers, Robert Wise of Del Rey Beach, Fla., and Jack Wise of Parma, Ohio; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Cornelius 'Casey' Zwart
Cornelius "Casey" Zwart, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 13, 1913, in Garfield, Iowa. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired master mechanic working for many years abroad, building dams, airfields and other projects, and was a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Leona E.; one son, Gary E. Bishop of Henderson; one daughter, Connie E. Pike of Houston; three brothers; four sisters; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
