Affiliates of FBR own more than 10 percent of Mego's outstanding common stock.
Mego's stock was decimated this year after its merger with Sycamore Partners LLC fell through.
Mego stock traded at 88 cents Tuesday, well off its 52-week high of $5.62.
Mego's Preferred Equities subsidiary operates as Ramada Vacation Suites. It also owns Central Nevada Utilities, a utility serving fast-growing Pahrump west of Las Vegas.
