Letter: Clinton’s misdeed can’t be ignored
Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998 | 12:08 p.m.
Yes, indeed, our country does need to put the entire episode of Clinton's shenanigans behind us, but we also need to do so appropriately (which means not sweeping it under the carpet). The Constitution does not allow Congress to punish a president by censure. Thus, the only option is impeachment.
I urge our elected representatives to follow the constitutional provisions to seek impeachment hearings. May we move forward judiciously.
