Letter: Casinos will eye bottom line

The only criteria in assessing whether a player has had too much to drink is whether he tips. Yes, give him all he wants. Is he a stiff? "Sorry, sir you have had too much too drink." I personally witnessed a player at the Luxor who was so intoxicated he couldn't keep his head upright.
However, he was tipping the waitress $5 per drink so she was bringing him drinks even without an order from him. Yes, alcohol awareness really does work doesn't it?
The same goes for the gamblers anonymous program sponsored by the casinos. How can they honestly expect us to believe they will make a concerted effort in policing its players when their entire marketing department plays upon promoting frequent return trips and targeting those that lose the most?
Don't pretend you care, casinos, when the only thing that matters is the bottom line.
