Letter: Nation turns against Clinton like swine

Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998 | 9:22 a.m.

They belonged to a local farmer who, by allowing them to run wild on the dump, was trying to get something for nothing. One day, as the driver was backing up to unload the truck, he accidentally ran over one of the pigs.

The pig began to squeal and all of the other pigs immediately turned on the injured animal and began to devour it alive. It was a horrible sight and I have never forgotten it.

Nowadays I an reminded of it almost daily. The ferocity of some of the attacks on the wounded President Clinton lead me to believe that humans often behave exactly like pigs.
