Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998 | 1:23 a.m.
The Forbidden Crypt was a 32-foot long tunnel that rotated around a stationary walkway. It was part of the Caesars Magical Empire attraction.
After a fire hose broke in June 1996, the ride began to make popping noises, the suit said.
An inspection revealed breaks and cracks in the supporting structure. The attraction is currently out of operation.
Named as defendants are Rando Productions Inc., Landmark Entertainment Group, Tishman Construction Corp. of Nevada, Entertainment Engineering and ECTS Contracting of Las Vegas. Landmark, Rando and Entertainment Engineering were involved in construction of the Forbidden Crypt attraction, according to the suit. Attempts to contact them for comment failed.
