"I was shocked. I didn't think anybody would cross this line," Nebraska official Chris Bahl told the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper.
The site, www.HUSKERCASINO.com, included a Husker helmet, former coach Tom Osborne and ex-running back Ahman Green.
Once inside the virtual casino, players can use credit cars to play craps, blackjack, roulette and video poker.
Internet casino spokesman Godfrey Volk told the newspaper the virtual casino responded to the university's concerns.
