SUN STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS
UNLV's Christel Eves was named the Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the Mountain Division Sunday. It marks the third time this season a UNLV volleyball player has received the honor and fourth time in the program's history.
Eves, a 5-10 junior middle blocker from Henderson, led the Rebels to a 2-0 record last week with wins over Colorado State and Wyoming to improve UNLV's record to 22-7. With the two wins, UNLV moved into second place in the Mountain Division and will have a first round bye in the 1998 WAC Volleyball Tournament.
