On Saturday, "Pine Creek Fall Color Walk" a four-mile moderate hike, will explore the plants of Pine Creek Canyon. Bring a snack. "Walk Back in Time," a two-mile walk, will explore how the ancient Anasazi and the early Paiute lived in the harsh environment of the Mojave Desert.
On Friday, a "Small Mammals" program will be on the patio but will include a short walk to learn about animals like the White-tailed Antelope Ground Squirrels. For more information, call 363-1921.
It features 3 million lights, Santa's toy workshop, a special gazebo complete with Santa and photo opportunities, a train ride on the Forest Express, hundreds of 15-foot candy canes, craft fair, a Christmas tree lot, animated figures, a gingerbread house display, special snow nights and refreshments.
The event will run through Dec. 26 and is open weeknights from 5-10 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturday until 11 p.m. Call 259-3741.
