Details of the deal struck Wednesday between Gov. Gary Locke and leaders of 12 tribes over the proposed new online lottery games:
New agreement:
Each tribe could operate 425 machines in the first year, with a boost to 675 in the second year.
Tribes could buy and sell allocations from each other so that those with bigger casinos could offer more games.
Total number of machines per tribe would be capped at 1,500.
Tribes would need approval from the state Gambling Commission and the governor to link casinos to build bigger lottery jackpots.
Old agreement:
Each tribe could operate 500 machines in the first year, with a boost to 750 in the second year.
Tribes could buy and sell allocations from each other so that those with bigger casinos could offer more games.
No cap on total number of machines.
What's next:
The Gambling Commission meets Thursday in Vancouver, Wash., to decide whether to endorse the plan and send it to the governor for his approval or send it back to staff for further negotiations.
