Reports of incidents with bears on the rise from Lake Tahoe to southwest Reno.
The Nevada Division of Wildlife handled about 80 calls about problem bears last year. Carl Lackey, a biologist with the state division, said there seem to be even more problems this year.
Nuisance complaints this year have come from several sites at Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Galena, Pleasant Valley and southwest Reno.
Some residents want Douglas County to become the first county in Nevada to prohibit the feeding of wildlife.
