Copper concern reassures employees

Copper prices fell to a 12-year low of 70.40 cents at the end of October.
Although they have recovered to 76.00 cents per pound this week, the declining prices over the past several months have raised concerns for White Pine County's largest industry.
"As long as we stay focussed, we should be all right," said Randy Thomas, operations managers at BHP Copper Robinson.
Thomas had no formal assessment of how operations might be affected in the county. But he said every available effort will be made to maintain all operations there.
"BHP is a very sound operation and we're in it for the long term," he said.
