Tropicana adding gambling museum
Monday, Nov. 9, 1998 | 11:20 a.m.
The Tropicana hotel-casino has temporarily closed its keno lounge while the property prepares to build a new attraction.
Hillary Smoot, manager of public relations, said an announcement would be made later this week giving details of the new attraction: a gambling hall of fame and museum. No timetable was given on construction.
Smoot said keno will continue to be offered after the attraction is built and runners will be available to write tickets to customers in the property's bars and restaurants.
A deli at the keno lounge will continue to operate, Smoot said, and would be a part of the new attraction.
