"I started bouncing up and down, screaming in my chair," said Al-Buthi, a title clerk for Jefferson County's motor vehicles department.
She and her husband, Hafez, play the slots in Black Hawk twice a month and consider themselves regulars.
Al-Buthi had been playing the Quartermania machine for about 10 minutes when she hit the jackpot. She said she couldn't have spent more than about $5 at the machine before she heard a loud ringing, and the machine lit up.
