Ruby Chan, 33, an office administrator with the State of California Franchise Tax Board, won the top prize at the Harrah's Millionaire Maker National Championship of Slots.
Saturday's tournament featured finalists from 24 states and Canada who advanced to the Las Vegas finals through 16 regional tournaments.
"Now my fiance and I have the money to go to Hawaii and get married," Chan said. "This will definitely speed up our plans."
