Brief: Controversy over questions for gamblers

The Press of Atlantic City newspaper obtained the National Gambling Impact Study Commission's survey by filing a Freedom of Information Act request.
Those interviewed are asked about their marital status, grocery spending, sources of debt, drinking habits, criminal record and even their sex drive.
"I just think many of the questions have nothing to do with gaming ..." said Frank Fahrenkopf, head of the American Gaming Association.
But experts said the personal nature of some questions is standard for an in-depth behavior survey, the Press reported.
