Tyler Hayes Adams, 7, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1991, in Las Vegas. He was a first grade student at Calvary Chapel Christian School.

He is survived by his parents, Keith and Simonne Adams, and two sisters, Uria Adams-Page and Tirrsa Adams, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Merle and Georgia Adams of Valentine, Neb., Clifton and Sharon Patterson of Pahrump and George Thompson of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Chapel of Spring Valley. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Elmer Reid Brown

Elmer Reid Brown, 79, of Las Vegas died Oct. 27 in a local hospice. He was born June 21, 1919, in California. A resident for 17 years, he was a truck driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Pearlie; six sons, John Paul, Walter, Mark, Stanley, Elmer Jr. and Warren; eight daughters, Charlotte, Maxine, Kathy, Sandra, Jacqui, Frances, Terri and Suni; 40 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Elizabeth Marie Coe

Elizabeth Marie Coe, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in San Diego. She was born Nov. 9, 1930, in Spokane, Wash. A resident for 25 years, she was a kinesiologist in holistic medicine.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane Coe of LaMesa, Calif., and Cindy Coe of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

The family suggests donations to the Humane Society of Southern Nevada, P.O. Box 82022, Las Vegas, NV 89180-2022.

Lucille Helen Davis

Lucille Helen Davis, 74, of Las Vegas died Oct. 30 in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Tulare, S.D. A resident for 35 years, she was a doll maker, a member of the Eastern Star and member and past president of Doll Collectors of Las Vegas.

She is survived by one son, Michael Davis of Oswego, Ore.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled one hour prior 2 p.m. services today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in California.

James Patrick Drury

James Patrick Drury, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Pittsfield, Mass. A resident for eight years, he was a retired electrical engineer and a Korean War and Vietnam War Army veteran with 25 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne F.; two sons, Eugene Michale Drury of Phoenix and Kevin John Drury of Las Vegas; one daughter, Brenda Lynn Drury of Las Vegas; two brothers, Thomas Peter Drury of Cleveland and John J. Drury of Pittsfield, Mass.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

James DuVan

James DuVan, 76, of Las Vegas died Oct. 28 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Washington state. A resident for 57 years, he was a carpenter, a World War II Army veteran and a retired member of Carpenters Union 1780.

He is survived by his companion, Priscilla DuVan; one son, James Max DuVan; two daughters, Carolyn Clarke and Barbara DuVan; one brother, Joe DuVan; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Mitzi Hemsley

Mitzi Hemsley, 64, of Las Vegas died Oct. 26 in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1933, in Maplewood, Ore. A resident for 10 years, she was an airline reservationist.

She is survived by two sons, Lionel Fuher and Craig Fuher; one daughter, Kim Lyman; two brothers, Evan Loiseau and Armand Loiseau; one sister, Jeanine Walters; and seven grandchildren.

Joseph A. Koterba

Joseph A. Koterba, 84, of Boulder City died Saturday in Boulder City. He was born March 23, 1914, in Johnstown, Pa. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a dry cleaning business, past exalted ruler of the Johnston, Pa., Elks Lodge and the Boulder City Elks Lodge, past master of Boulder City Masonic Lodge 37 F&AM, a member of York Rite Bodies, Knight of the York Cross of Honor, Zelzah Shrine Temple and Boulder City Shrine Club and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Desert Chapter 22.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Taffy Koterba.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be noon Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Verlee O'Dea

Verlee O'Dea, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Durant, Okla. A resident for 41 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William A.; two daughters, Nancy Ruth DeLaVega and Patricia Kelley, and one son, Mike O'Dea, all of Las Vegas; her stepmother, Ernestine Watson of Durant; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church, 101 S. Rancho Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Shirley R. Parker

Shirley R. Parker, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Jan. 8, 1925, in Sidney, Australia. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Norman; two brothers, Gordon Smith of Las Vegas and David Smith of Vancouver, British Columbia; two sisters, Gwen Scott of Vancouver and Joan Ford of Marin, Calif.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Donna Marie Patrick

Donna Marie Patrick, 54, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born July 24, 1944, in Yakima, Wash. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Elks Lodge in Yucca Valley, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, David H.; three daughters, Tina Marie Porter, Gina Queros of Yakima and Anna Marie Przybysz of Lockport, N.Y.; one son, Billy Lockwood of Oregon; her mother, Frances Grey, and two sisters, Doris Hanson and Connie Hanson, all of Yucca Valley.

No local services are scheduled. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Walter G. Peragus

Walter G. Peragus, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1920, in Cleveland. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired cement truck driver and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carmella; three daughters, Amy Rodrigue of Sherwood Park, Alberta, and Laura Peragus and Sandra Rogers, both of Las Vegas; one son, Frank Peragus of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until a 5 p.m. rosary today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Hyrum Potter

Hyrum Potter, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 5, 1912, in Mesquite. A resident for 55 years, he was a retired automobile mechanic.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edith Bunker Potter; and four daughters, Sharon Clayton, Lynne Christiansen and Gaylene Joy Potter, all of Las Vegas, and Sandra Kaye Seaborn of LaMoille.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Mesquite Cemetery.

Dorothy J. Powell

Dorothy J. Powell, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Arkansas. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by her husband, James R.; one son, Duane Powell of Las Vegas; one sister, Wanda Russell of Pahrump; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Hazel Viola Salisbury

Hazel Viola Salisbury, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 30, 1909, in Defiance, Ohio. A resident for seven years, she was a retired legal assistant.

She is survived by one nephew, Arthur Beusee of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Ruth E. Sloan

Ruth E. Sloan, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 4, 1910, in Massachusetts. A resident for 53 years, she was a retail saleswoman.

She is survived by two daughters, Paula Morris of Las Vegas and Kathleen Silva of California; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Sunday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Donald K. Whippo

Donald K. Whippo, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1920, in Nebraska. A resident for 13 years, he was a landlord and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, MaryAnne; one daughter, Doreen Walstad of Las Vegas; one son, Dave Whippo of Irvine, Calif.; two stepsons, Steven Halper of St. Charles, Mo., and Tom Halper of Cortez, Colo.; three stepdaughters, Kathryn Carrick of Huntington Beach, Calif., Kim Baker of Long Beach, Calif., Kari Gould of Fresno, Calif.; two grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.

Tyrone Lamonte Wilson Sr.

Tyrone Lamonte Wilson Sr., 25, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 15, 1973, in Las Vegas. A resident for 25 years, he was a landscaper.

He is survived by one son, Tyrone Lamonte Wilson Jr. of North Las Vegas; his father, Johnny Ray Wilson of Hawthorne; his mother, Levon Kelly of Las Vegas; four sisters, Felicia Hankston of North Las Vegas, Lavondra Parks, Lashondra Kelly and Lanyeshia Kelly, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Darlene Nelson of Hawthorne and Geneva Robertson, John Henry Wilson and Eddie Williams, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Victory Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
