Two die in separate weekend traffic accidents

A 7-year-old boy was one of two traffic fatalities Friday in unrelated accidents.
Tyler Adams died Saturday at University Medical Center.
The boy was a passenger in a car driven by Tirrsa Adams, 16.
Tirrsa Adams and the driver of the second car, Kari Cruz, 66, received minor injuries in the accident that happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Investigators said Adams' 1993 Saturn was southbound on Tenaya Way when a 1992 Lincoln Town Car driven by Cruz failed to stop at a stop sign, entered the intersection and crossed in front of Adams.
Tyler Adams was in the right front seat of the Saturn.
In another accident, a 38-year-old Las Vegas man was killed late Friday when the 1988 Toyota pick-up truck he was driving went out of control and struck a block wall.
The man's name is being withheld pending notification of family.
Investigators said the man was eastbound on Ann Road shortly before midnight when the vehicle went off the south edge of the road, returned to the roadway, rotated counter-clockwise while sliding, crossed the center line into the westbound travel land and then went off the north edge of the road, hit a wall and rolled over onto its side.
The driver was dead at the scene.
Speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors to the accident, police said.
