School Board approves buying mobile homes to house teachers
Monday, Nov. 2, 1998 | 9:09 a.m.
The two, double-wide mobile homes will cost $86,000. One will be placed on the last vacant lot the district owns in this small town. The other will replace an existing single-wide home the district bought in 1984.
School officials said adequate housing is the biggest obstacle in recruiting teachers to Gerlach 100 miles north of Reno on the edge of the Black Rock Desert.
