Brief: Labor backs off Spaghetti Bowl picketing

Under the agreement, the union will post a notice stating it won't picket unless a representation petition is filed with the National Labor Relations Board.
The Operating Engineers picketed the Spaghetti Bowl site since Sept. 14, protesting the termination of a union employee. But because the Building Trades Organizing Project is seeking to organize Meadow Valley employees, the NLRB decided there was some organizational intent behind the picketing. Organizational picketing is limited to 30 days, said Steve Wamser of the Las Vegas NLRB office.
