Garland Prytle Aenchbacher, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1927, in Eldorado, Ark. A resident for 16 years, he was a real estate investor and developer and a former rancher.

He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn; three daughters, Pam Firmin of Las Vegas, Karen Holman of Greeley, Colo., and Sharen Abrams of Denver; one son, Kent Aenchbacher of Ault, Colo.; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

THOMAS ANDREW BARNES

Thomas Andrew Barnes, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Canada. A resident for 5 1/2 years, he was a contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Janell.

No local services are scheduled. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

JAMES CLARKIN

James Clarkin, 72, of Henderson died May 17 in a local care center. He was born Sept. 29, 1925, in New York. A resident for eight years, he was a shift supervisor in the motion picture industry and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Mary DiCostanzo of Ancram, N.Y.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

VERNON ELROY CONGER

Vernon Elroy Conger, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 20, 1940. A resident for 55 years, he was a service technician for Sears for 37 years, a supervisor for Yellow Cab for 30 years and co-owner of Lou's Lawn Service.

He is survived by his wife, Luena C.; three sons, Robert T. Conger, Richard A. Conger and David W. Conger, and his mother, Clara K. Conger, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Delsie Hearn of Mesa, Ariz., and Frances La Chapelle of West Plains, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the LDS Robindale Stake Center. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

MARLENE CRIM

Marlene Crim, 64, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born April 24, 1934, in Springfield, Mo. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired printing company bookkeeper.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; one daughter, Kelly Gray of Las Vegas; one son, Larry Patrick Crim of Vista, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

LAWRENCE R. DEVORE

Lawrence R. DeVore, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 18, 1922, in New York City. A resident for four years, he was a retired land developer and a member of Masonic Lodge 42 in Los Angeles.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; three sons, Scott DeVore of Las Vegas and Paul DeVore and Don DeVore, both of Los Angeles; two daughters, Laural DeVore and Bonnie DeVore, both of Los Angeles; one sister, Josephine Pomerantz, and one brother, Edward DeVore, both of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

WALTER MILLER ENNIS

Walter Miller Ennis, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 18 years, he was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Potomac, Ill.

He is survived by one nephew, Jim Smith of San Jose, Calif.; and one niece, Vianna Wichern of Langlois, Ore.

A memorial service was scheduled at 4:30 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.

PAULA FETT

Paula Fett, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 6, 1946, in Chicago. A resident for six years, she was a food server.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald L.; two daughters, Lisa Deal and Kristina Biddinger, both of Austin, Texas; her mother, Ann Jarosz of Chicago; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Odyssey Safe Harbor Hospice Chapel. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

THELMA FIELDS

Thelma Fields, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born Oct. 2, 1908, in Crockett, Texas. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Vannie Ross of Las Vegas; one sister, Eula Reece of Fort Worth, Texas; one grandchild, one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild.

WILLIAM GEORGE HEMSWORTH

William George Hemsworth, 40, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born March 25, 1958, in Clarksville, Tenn. A resident for four years, he was an oil lineman.

He is survived by Peter and Anita Skarpho of Las Vegas.

Melvin Krassner, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for three years, he was a retired salesman and manufacturer for a sign company.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean; one son, Harold Mark Krassner of Camarillo, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

BOB JUNIOR LAWSON

Bob Junior Lawson, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 19, 1931, in Texas. A resident for 25 years, he was an insurance salesman and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Terrance Lawson of Oregon and Bret Lawson of Washington state; and four daughters, Troy Hess, Kathy O'Donnell and Traci Hanes, all of Washington, and Jodiee Reichel of California.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Texas. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

INEZ MARIA LUCERO

Inez Maria Lucero, 80, of Henderson died Monday. She was born April 13, 1918, in Regina, N.M. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by five daughters, Sadie Rodriquez and Terri Lucero, both of Henderson, Lorene Lucero of Pueblo, Colo., and Rose Mary Pacheco and Ruth Jean Gonzales, both of Durango, Colo.; six sons, Phillip Lucero of Leavenworth, Kan., Henry Lucero, Richard Lucero, Danny Lucero and Robert Lucero, all of Las Vegas, and Ernie Lucero of Henderson; 48 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

MARY MAGLISH

Mary Maglish, 86, of Las Vegas died May 22 in Las Vegas. She was born July 1, 1911, in East St. Louis, Ill. A resident for 15 years, she was a cafeteria food handler.

She is survived by one son, Robert Maglish; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

MANFORD R. 'BOB' MCKINNIS

Manford R. "Bob" McKinnis, 74, of Overton died Wednesday in Overton. He was born March 22, 1924, in Monongahela, Pa. A resident for one year, he was a retired hotel chef, a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, the National Rifle Association and American Angler.

He is survived by four sons, Robert W. McKinnis of Henderson, Manford Merl McKinnis of Reno, Warren James McKinnis of Kennewick, Wash., and Ronald Lynn McKinnis of Overton; two daughters, Barbara Jo Barney of Overton and Beverly Ann Cooper of Henderson; three brothers, Stuart McKinnis of Kennewick, Richard McKinnis of Myrtle Creek, Ore., and Donald McKinnis of Tennessee; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

TUT PENNY PENNACHIO

Tut Penny Pennachio, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 4, 1916, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired casino shift boss and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; one daughter, Rosina Pennachio-Rothman of Los Angeles; and one son, Attilio Pennachio Jr. of Las Vegas.

Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. A private burial will follow.

SHERI MARIE PLAGER-JOHNSON

Sheri Marie Plager-Johnson, 27, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in California. She was born Dec. 23, 1970, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was an auditor in retail sales.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; two sons, Anthony Johnson and Dylan Johnson, one brother, Travis Plager, and her parents, Gary and Shaaron Plager, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Oren and Marie Cordreg of Las Vegas and Helen Riggle of Wyoming.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

CLIFFORD C. REED

Clifford C. Reed, 85, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 6, 1913, in Jersey City, N.J. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired electrician and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; two daughters, Karen Taylor of St. George, Utah, and Deborah Kesrawani of Las Vegas; two sisters, Mabel M. Haycock and Doris Munday, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

JOSEPH M. SALAZAR

Joseph M. Salazar, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 30, 1914, in Monterey, Mexico. A resident for 65 years, he was a retired laborer for the federal government and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; four daughters, Grace Salazar, Patsy Salazar, De Hale-Salazar and Linda Flanagan, and one son, Raymond Salazar, all of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mass was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, followed by graveside services in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lucille L. Scott, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Boise, Idaho. She was born Jan. 3, 1923, in Salt Lake City. A resident for seven years, she was a nurse's aide at a nursing home.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Masada of Las Vegas, Sally Warner of Star, Idaho, Leslie Gonzales of Talent, Ore., and Denise Scott of Phoenix; two sons, Rulon Scott of Salt Lake City and Walter "Ben" Scott of Boise; one brother, Keith Love of Bountiful, Utah; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

DIETER WALTON

Dieter Walton, 53, of Las Vegas died May 20 in Las Vegas. He was born in Germany. A resident for five years, he was a wallpaper hanger and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Justin Walton of California; and his father, Herman Rosentein of Germany.
