Miller participating in public policy conference in New York

The conference, which runs through Sunday, was organized by The American Assembly, a group founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower during the late president's tenure as president of Columbia University.
The event is being co-chaired by former U.S. Trade Representative Carla Hills and former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Paul Volcker. Speakers include Thomas "Mack" McLarty III, counselor to the president and special envoy for the Americas; former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico James Jones; and Enrique Iglesias, president of the Inter-American Development Bank.
The assembly process offers participants the opportunity to discuss issues in small groups before the entire membership convenes to adopt a final report. The report is published for study and review by the White House, Congress and world policy-makers.
Miller, ending his term as governor, was named as a possible ambassador to both Mexico and Argentina in the past year, but he removed his name from consideration from both positions.
