Preps: Gators’ Golfer honored

Green Valley senior Dallas Massey has been selected as the Golfer of the Year for the 4A Southern Zone. Massey, who averaged 36 strokes per nine holes this spring, led the Gators to a perfect 17-0 regular season record and the Sunrise Division championship. Gators' coach Del Sagers, whose squad also finished second at last week's zone tournament, was named the zone's Coach of the Year. Joining Massey on the All-Zone squad were: Green Valley teammates Avi Khitri and Joey Matyas, Bonanza' Ben Auten, Silverado's Brad Calihan, Durango's Randy Creighton and Bishop Gorman's Tyler Mays.
