Two baseball tournament berths on line

Two berths to next weekend's 4A state baseball tournament in Reno will be up for grabs when the southern zone's final four take the field Friday at UNLV.

Sunset Division foes Durango (26-8) and Cimarron-Memorial (20-8) will get things started at 2 p.m. in a loser-out contest, before Green Valley (28-2) and Bishop Gorman (24-5) lock up with an automatic state bid at stake at 5 p.m.

The winner of the first game will meet the loser of the second at 8 p.m. for the zone's second state berth and the right to play in Saturday's zone finale, slated for 10 a.m.
