Frank Alpine, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 19, 1914, in Toronto, Ohio. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired service station manager.

He is survived by his wife, Marvine; one son, Al Alpine, and one stepson, Dennis Newton, both of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Susan Young and Monica Pysher, both of Pennsylvania; one sister, Mary of West Virginia; one brother, James Alpine of Ohio; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

BEVERLEY ANN ANGELL

Beverley Ann Angell, 65, of Sun City, Ariz., died Thursday. She was born July 7, 1932, in Lander, Wyo. A former local resident from 1966-1994, she was a retired assistant manager for the Boulder Dam Credit Union in Boulder City and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter, Kim Green of Boulder City; three sons, Ken Angell of Las Vegas and Gary Angell and Brian Angell, both of Port Orchard, Wash.; two sisters, Jean Campbell of Grand Coulee, Wash., and Colleen Yellin of Spokane, Wash.; one brother, Robert McCoy of Seattle; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to Shriners Children's Hospital, Boulder City Masonic Temple, Boulder City or St. Jude's Ranch for Children Inc., 100 St. Jude, Boulder City, NV 89005.

DEANNE MARIE BAKER

Deanne Marie Baker, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 27, 1938, in Mexico, Maine. A resident for 11 years, she was a kindergarten teacher at Ruby Thomas Elementary School.

She is survived by two sons, Kurtis Baker of Plainsboro, N.J., and Barry Baker of Tifton, Ga.; her mother, Audrey Keniston of South Portland, Maine; one stepbrother, Keith Gaudette of Lakeport, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 4:15 today in Ruby Thomas Elementary. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Ruby Thomas Elementary School, 1560 E. Cherokee Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

HOWARD E. BOWDEN JR.

Howard E. Bowden Jr., 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Houston County, Ala. A resident for four years, he was a retired special investigator in the insurance industry and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary W.; one daughter, Sharon Kimball of Sacramento; two sons, Charles Bowden of Berkeley, Calif., and John L. Love of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Frank Bowden of Albuquerque, N.M.; three sisters, Betty Kingry of Auburn, Wash., Dorothy Watson of Dothan, Ala., and Margret Male of Laurel, Md.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Shadow Hills Baptist Church. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.

NOVA W. CAIN

Nova W. Cain, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 27, 1911, in New York City. A resident for 25 years, she was an IRS auditor and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by one daughter, Louise Nelson; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

ALFRED S. COLELLA

Alfred S. Colella, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 22, 1917, in Lynn, Mass. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a coin business and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, James David Colella of Missouri and Alfred Gerald Colella of California; two daughters, Linda Lee Feeney of Nevada and Cheryl Marie Taylor of California; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones.

JAMES DERMODY

James Dermody, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired Air Force technical sergeant, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; four sons, Steven Dermody of Penrose, Colo., Robert Dermody of Las Vegas, Donald Dermody of Houston and John Dermody of Mobile, Ala.; one sister, Patrina Brown of Rockland, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Nellis Air Force Base Chapel. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

JESSICA ANN DOCTORS

Jessica Ann Doctors, 1 1/2, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Oct. 4, 1996, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Tiffany Welt Doctors and Steven Doctors, one brother, Jordon Doctors, and her grandparents, Malcolm and Lois Doctors and Gerald and Marcy Welt, all of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by graveside services in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Midbar Kodesh Temple, 6000 S. Eastern Ave., Suite B, Las Vegas, or at the rabbi's discretion to Congregation Ner Tamid, 2761 Emerson Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89121.

FRANCES T. GAMBARDELLA

Frances T. Gambardella, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Washington, D.C. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Natale; three daughters, Nancy Gambardella, Delores Miner and Susan Covey, and one son, Raymond Gambardella, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Josephine Candito of Bridgeport, Conn.; and three grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

CATHERINE AUDREY HALEY

Catherine Audrey Haley, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Cleveland. A resident for five years, she was a telephone company service representative.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, James and Tom; one daughter, Ann Machado; and five grandchildren.

HARRY HASSELL

Harry Hassell, 66, of Las Vegas died May 6 in a California medical center. He was born June 19, 1931, in New York. A resident for 24 years, he was a senior field engineer for a nuclear test facility, a Navy veteran and retired Air Force senior master sergeant, a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a member of several local square dancing clubs.

He is survived by his wife, Rea; one son, Mike Hassell of Newport News, Va.; two daughters, Leslie Sexton of Korea and Mary Nichols of Sacramento; two stepdaughters, Karen Shanley of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Charlyn Duran of Denver; one brother, Herbert Hassell of North Charleston, N.C.; one sister, Elsie Lopez of New York; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

The family suggests donations to the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, Lung Transplant Department.

LYDIA MAE LINTON

Lydia Mae Linton, 93, of Searchlight died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1904, in Bells, Texas. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Jim Linton; one daughter, Vale Gregory; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

ALTA L. RUDDER

Alta L. Rudder, 83, of Alamo, died Monday in a Lincoln County hospital. She was born June 30, 1914, in Willard, N.M. A resident of the Las Vegas area for 20 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Daughters of the Eastern Star of Boulder City.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Burt and Wendy Rudder of Alamo; and three grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, followed by graveside services in Boulder City Cemetery.

JOSHUA JAMES TRUSHAW

Joshua James Trushaw of North Las Vegas died Monday, his date of birth in a local hospital.

He is survived by his parents, Robin and David Trushaw; his grandparents, William G. and Virginia Trushaw and Frank and Joann Lenzo, all of Las Vegas; and his two great-grandmothers, Gen Trushaw of Las Vegas and Helen Bozack of Indiana.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

RICHARD P. WOLFE

Richard P. Wolfe, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Sunbury, Pa. A resident for 10 years, he was a sign manufacturer and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Juana; and one stepdaughter, Yolanda Lara of Whittier, Calif.

Graveside services will be 10:45 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
