Letter: Job applications seen as offensive
Tuesday, May 12, 1998 | 8:59 a.m.
How dare they ask, on these applications:
These are the most offensive, nasty, dirty, rotten questions to be asked of some poor souls who have lived here forever and desperately need a job and, of course, because they are decent and honest, hard-working people more than 30 years of age would never get the job, even with all the experience they have. I see it. I hear it!
Today, with all these casinos going up, all these thousands of rooms, the whole world is coming here to live and hotels are hiring anyone under 30, right? No experience and brand-new in town.
Well, folks, come on down. Because within 10 years, I predict -- and mark these words carefully -- Las Vegas will be the biggest dust bowl ever.
