Diana Joann Cox-Thompson, 30, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 17, 1967, in California. A resident for 12 years, she was a keno runner.
She is survived by her husband, Greg J. Thompson; one son, Taylor G. Thompson; three brothers, Bobby Cox, Michael Cox and Jimmy Cox, all of Utah; and three sisters, Liane Trevino of Oregon, Marina Cox of California and Christel Cox of Arizona.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
EDISON T. 'ED' CURRY
Edison T. "Ed" Curry, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 1, 1916, in Sesser, Ill. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired hotel-casino bartender.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; one son, Kevin Curry of Studio City, Calif.; two daughters, Robin Roveri of Las Vegas and Shirley Gosbin of Phoenix; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119, or the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
JANET LEA DAMERON
Janet Lea Dameron, 56, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1941, in Concord, Mass. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon G.; two daughters, Lauree E. McPherson of Las Vegas and Susan Lea Vitti of Watertown, Mass.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
THERESA 'TERRY' FLAATHEN
Theresa "Terry" Flaathen, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Carmel, Saskatchewan. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Tanya Parkey and Cheryl A. Beals, one stepson, David Flaathen, and one stepdaughter, Brenda Flaathen, all of Las Vegas; one brother, John Jessel of Oregon; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
SANTA V. MARTIN
Santa V. Martin, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday. She was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Los Angeles. A resident for 26 years, she was a teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel; one daughter, Gabriella Martin of Hawaii; her mother, Anna Maria Valencia, and one brother, Alfred Valencia Jr., both of Los Angeles; and three grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
ALICE PRATO
Alice Prato, 78, of Boulder City died Friday in Boulder City. A retired PBX operator, she was born April 29, 1920, in Washington, D.C.
She is survived by one son, John Prato of Van Nuys, Calif.; two daughters, Ida Ann Soucy of Denver and Patricia Prato of Brooklyn, Conn.; and one brother, James McEneny.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
RICHARD A. RAMSEY
Richard A. Ramsey, 59, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 19, 1938, in Burbank, Calif. A resident for 18 years, he was a cage cashier in the gaming industry and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara May; one daughter, Ellen Ramsey of Las Vegas; and one sister, Ann Walton of California.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
