Police arrest man wanted in slaying of bartender
Friday, May 8, 1998 | 1:33 a.m.
Charles Lee Randolph, 31, was arrested Friday morning after police, acting on a tip, went to a local address. Police said he was taken into custody without incident.
Randolph, a former employee of Doc Holliday's, had been sought since he was identified Thursday as a suspect in the slaying of 31-year-old Shelly Lokken at the local bar.
A trust fund has been established for Lokken's 8-year-old daughter.
The victim was found tied up and shot once in the head, execution style. At least one witness saw a gray Cadillac leave the scene with its lights off. The car was later recovered in the parking lot of a homeless shelter and an inspection connected it to the crime.
