Lecture on home-landscaping

The classroom lecture is scheduled for 8:30-11:30 a.m. in Room C138 of the Class Room Building Complex on campus. The afternoon field trip to local gardens will feature plants and such wildlife-attracting additions as bird feeders and waterers.
The course will emphasize birds but will also include information on insects, reptiles and small mammals. The instructor is Sandy Haigh, who did her doctoral research in avian biology at UNLV. She won AquaVision's fifth annual landscape award for her home wildlife habitat.
