twitterLV selected to host ‘99 Western Regional Legion Baseball

Las Vegas, which will host this summer's American Legion Baseball World Series, has been selected as the site for the 1999 Western Regional. The event, which will take place at Cashman Field from Aug. 12-16, will bring state champions from Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Mexico and Utah to town, where they will compete with the Nevada champion in a round-robin format. According to the Legion's Executive Committee, the regional is expected to draw 10,000 fans to the area and infuse more than $250,000 into the local economy.
