Independent American Party of Nevada convention in Vegas
Thursday, May 7, 1998 | 4:32 a.m.
Hansen says the preregistration charge is $40, and that includes dinner. Registration at the door is $50.
The IAP delegates will discuss filing a lawsuit against Nevada's campaign finance reform law, which Hansen described as unconstitutional because it creates a "media monopoly regarding political free speech."
Hansen also said the IAP convention is expected to oppose a Republican-sponsored "paycheck protection" ballot measure and a rival "full disclosure" ballot proposal being pushed by organized labor.
Herb Titus, the IAP's vice-presidential candidate in 1996, will be featured speaker at the convention.
