A Pennsylvania man who Metro Police say shot to death his Las Vegas girlfriend in a Rio hotel room, then killed himself, has been identified as Robert James, 35.
James, of Bethel Park, was registered in a 16th-floor room at the Rio hotel-casino Monday when he allegedly killed Deana Trower. Trower, 29, was a dancer in Las Vegas, homicide Lt. Wayne Petersen said.
Their bodies were found on the floor by a maid who went into the room in the Rio's new tower about 1 p.m. Monday, police said. The case has been ruled a murder-suicide, police said.
