Letter: Notch Fairness Act turns into misnomer

I've also been receiving this offer, and I refused it. At first, it sounded good: $5,000 lump sum is what it said, but the fine print says $1,000 a year for four years. They must think we are stupid. A lump sum means the whole amount all at once! Another rip-off of your money. They dole it out -- another scheme to chat us. I want that interest myself.
If they put $5,000 in my hot little hand, I'll take it, but not $1,000 a year and they draw interest on the rest for four years.
Who is this guy Michael J. Zabko who has placed himself as executive director of the TREA Senior Citizens League? And who formed the TREA, which they call The Retired Enlisted Association since 1963. Never heard of it. Someone needs to do some serious thinking. This bill HR3008 is called Notch Fairness Act. What's fair about this? Better take your name off this list.
