Of 424 signatures needed, a preliminary count by Lyon County clerk-treasurer Marian Pinkerton tallied 422 to recall Christine Serrano. There were 405 to recall Vic Hartpence.
Of 549 names needed to force a vote to recall Danny Lunsford, 466 were produced, The Fernley Leader-Dayton Courier reported on Wednesday. Chairman David Stix Jr. also would have been on the ballot with 549 signatures and 453 were turned in.
"I'm not happy it didn't make it," recall committee member Shirley Frazier said. "I was hoping people would wake up and see what was happening and sign it."
The foes said they did not feel the board was being responsive to concerns they and other residents of the town had expressed.
