Two people critically injured March 10 in separate auto accidents have died at University Medical Center.
Michael Busceni, 74, of Los Angeles, died at 6:37 p.m. Tuesday from the critical injuries he suffered when the 1993 Ford pickup he was a passenger in flipped numerous times across Interstate 15 near Primm, said Trooper Steve Harney, Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman.
The Ford's driver, Lawrence Manta, 45, of Santa Clarita, Calif., was partially thrown from the Ford and died at the scene.
Manta was 39 miles south of Las Vegas near the California-Nevada state line when for unknown reasons he drifted off the west side of the freeway's southbound lanes about 5:30 p.m., over-corrected and sent the car flipping several times before it landed in the northbound lanes, Harney said.
Murray Glassman, 89, of Las Vegas also died Tuesday at 8:45 p.m.
Glassman was northbound on Paradise Road March 10 and failed to stop his 1990 Nissan sedan before it rammed the rear of 64-year-old Buford Pender's 1997 Lincoln, which in turn rammed the rear of 31-year-old Sandra Deal's 1995 Nissan, Harney said.
Pender and Deal had been stopped along with other traffic at the time near the Corporate Drive intersection.
Pender, Deal and Lillian Dokell, 86, Glassman's only passenger, were treated and released from UMC.
