Seven pedestrians injured in Strip crash

Seven pedestrians were injured late Monday after a car went out of control and slammed into them on the Strip, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
At 11:15 p.m., Nancy Reisman, 69, of Brooklyn, N.Y., ran a red light on the Strip and crossed the intersection at Flamingo Road, NHP Trooper Steve Harney said. Reisman's car was hit by a 1987 Nissan pickup, driven by Gabriel Sierra, 29, of Las Vegas.
Reisman lost control of the Chevrolet, which spun around, ran onto the sidewalk and into a group of pedestrians, Harney said.
Seven people, all tourists from out of state, were injured, Harney said. They all were taken by ambulance to University Medical Center, he said.
Mullane Schwandt, 21, of Spokane, Wash., suffered a broken leg. The others suffered cuts and bruises.
Reisman was cited for running a red light, Harney said.
