Sarah Buckingham, 97, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 4, 1900, in New Mexico. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one great-niece, Yvonne Wright of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Services are private. Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
THUY CHAU
Thuy Chau, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1916, in Shantou, China. A resident for eight years, he was a retired farmer.
He is survived by three daughters, Ngoc Chau, Song Chau and Phung Chau, all of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
ANTONIO GENNARO
Antonio Gennaro, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 4, 1922, in Cleveland. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired home developer, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus and Sons of Italy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary L.; seven sons, Vincent Gennaro, Anthony Gennaro Jr., Paul A. Gennaro and Aaron Charles Gennaro, all of Capistrano Beach, Calif., Stephan Gennaro of Tucson, Ariz., Eric Nicholas Gennaro of Long Beach, Calif., and Troy Combs of Las Vegas; three daughters, Rosemary Deskin of Valley Center, Calif., Nancy Faith Gennaro of Tucson, and Christine Nicole Gennaro of Las Vegas; two sisters, Josephine Gennaro and Carmela Scricia, both of Cleveland; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church. Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
BERNICE M. LUSK
Bernice M. Lusk, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 14, 1926, in LaCrosse, Wis. A resident for seven years, she was a retired dental assistant.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew N.; one son, Matthew M. Lusk of Las Vegas; one daughter, Susan M. Kenney of Middleburg Heights, Ohio; one sister, Gerry Scholten of Michigan; one brother, Richard Linhart of LaCrosse; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
No local services are scheduled. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
LOUIS MORENO SR.
Louis Moreno Sr., 82, of Las Vegas, died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 14, 1916, in Rincon, Puerto Rico. A resident for 28 years, he was a maitre d' at the Chateau Vegas for many years, owned Andy's Pancake House in California from 1964-65 and was a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Pacific.
He is survived by five sons, Louis Moreno Jr. of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Ralph Moreno, Richard Moreno, Robert Moreno and David Moreno, all of Las Vegas; two daughters, Linda Borcsani of Las Vegas and Jenny Lozano of North Las Vegas; 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
MARIAN NARAK
Marian Narak, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born July 1, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired administrative assistant for a business equipment company, a Senior Companion volunteer and a member of the Moose Lodge.
She is survived by one son, Tom Narak of Alta, Iowa; one daughter, Madeline Narak, and one brother, Nicholas Braico, both of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests donations to Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89118.
ADA CHARLES PRICE
Ada Charles Price, 58, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 20, 1939, in Big Rock, Va. A resident for 36 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Francis E.; one son, Michael Price of North Las Vegas; one stepson, Johnny Price of Cedar City, Utah; one stepdaughter, Sherrie Hancock of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; several brothers and sisters; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Thursday in Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in the Lola and White LDS Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
MARTIN B. SHELDON
Martin B. Sheldon, 45, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 24, 1952, in New Jersey. A resident for nine months, he was a utility bill auditor.
He is survived by his wife, Carol.
Burial will be in New Jersey. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
JUAN TEJADA
Juan Tejada, 47, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 10, 1950, in El Salvador. A resident for 18 years, he was a hotel kitchen worker.
He is survived by his wife, Ana; two sons, Amado Tejada and Rodger Tejada, both of Las Vegas; his parents, Tomas and Angela Tejada of El Salvador; three brothers, Enecon Tejada, Amado Tejada and Tomas Tejada, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Blanca Argelia Burch of Las Vegas and Berta Lidia Gutierrez and Isabell Gutierrez, both of El Salvador.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
JUNE C. THOMPSON
June C. Thompson, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born June 10, 1925, in Chicago. A resident for 31 years, she was a homemaker, a former Gold Star Mother and a member of Cheerleaders of Calvary Foursquare Church.
She is survived by her husband, Malcolm T.; three daughters, Elizabeth C. Tisdale, Cheryl E. Snider and Linda J. Demes, all of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to Safe Harbor Hospice, 3910 Pecos-McLeod, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
EDWARD ELMER WEAVER
Edward Elmer Weaver, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a hospice. He was born Jan. 31, 1921, in Knoxville, Tenn. A resident for 14 years, he was an automobile salesman and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Annette M.; and one daughter, Lori Lynn Weaver of San Francisco.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
GLADYS M. WILLIAMS
Gladys M. Williams, 62, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 11, 1935, in Oakridge, La. A resident for 39 years, she was a hotel cashier.
She is survived by one daughter, Meldon Williams of Las Vegas; two brothers, Melvin Burks of Las Vegas and John Burks of San Bernardino, Calif.; three sisters, Mildred DeJohnette and Gloria Dunn, both of Las Vegas, and Ollie Mae Moody of Sacramento; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services. A private burial will follow.
JULIE 'ANN' ZANGARI
Julie "Ann" Zangari, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born in Roxboro, N.C. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired beauty salon owner-operator.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas; one daughter, Nicole McNalley of Henderson; her mother, Ida Mae Williamson of Roxboro; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
