Man believed to be on drugs leads police on chase

The suspect drove erratically down runways and taxiways with police and airport operations staff in pursuit before finally losing control of his vehicle, airport spokesman Adam Mayberry said.

No flights took off during the 10 minute ordeal and one plane that was on final approach was ordered to go around.

Aircraft on the ground were diverted away from the incident, according to Mayberry.

No aircraft were damaged.

Police said the man - who was not immediately identified - appeared to be on a controlled substance.
