Magician offers $10,000 reward for information on cabbie killer

The Las Vegas entertainer has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a gunman who shot and killed cab driver John Harris over the weekend.

Harris was shot to death in the early morning hours Saturday, apparently by a fare he had picked up who tried to rob him.

Police say Harris fought with his assailant before finally being killed. His body was discovered in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Lance Burton, who headlines a show at the Monte Carlo, said he was offering the reward in recognition of the cooperation other cab drivers have shown on his behalf over the years.
